Debra Walling is a recent retiree from St. Joseph’s University, New York, where she served as the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management for its Long Island campus and proudly led a team of Admissions professionals.

During her career in higher education she became very involved in the local counseling organizations; partnering with their members and advocating for students, elementary, middle and high school counselors. Within these organizations she found dedicated individuals who worked together tirelessly for the benefit of Long Island’s students. She eventually served a term as President of Western Suffolk Counselors’ Association. Although she is currently retired, she strongly believes in WSCA’s cause and purpose and, therefore, remains very much involved in this professional organization.
